Student Health Insurance Requirement Information:

Good health is essential to academic success and unexpected medical bills can threaten your ability to complete your education should you be uninsured or have inadequate coverage.

• In an effort to ensure students’ physical and financial health, Saint Mary’s College of California requires All Full-Time Domestic and International 本科 students and all registered International 研究生 students to show proof of health insurance coverage.

Basic plan information for the 2024-2025 Student Health Insurance Plan for Saint Mary's College of California provided by United Healthcare can be found 在这里. 的 annual cost for undergraduate students will be $2,465.

Waiving the Health Insurance:

• 本科 students are AUTOMATICALLY ENROLLED 在 Saint Mary's College Student Health Insurance Plan (SMC-SHIP) 每年 或者必须 放弃 the insurance if they can demonstrate comparable insurance and do not want to incur a charge on their account for the Student Health Insurance Plan.
• 的 豁免 process must be completed by August 15, 2024 2024年秋季.
• If you 放弃 your insurance, we suggest printing a copy of your approved 豁免 and keeping it in your AY file.

Enrolling 在 Saint Mary's College Student Health Insurance Plan:

• 本科 students who do not 放弃 by August 15 or who do not actively enroll 在 plan will be automatically enrolled 在 student plan and sent instructions on how to access their account and insurance card on September 22, 2024. 的ir coverage, however, will be retro-effective to August 1st.
• Students can actively enroll 在 plan starting August 1st to access their accounts and download their insurance cards if healthcare is needed prior to September 22.
